This video was made years ago to promote a concert by the Joe Sullivan Big Band featuring Lorne Lofsky. Since then, Lorne and Joe have collaborated regularly.

In early days, the band often invited guests from across Canada, including Pat Labarbera, Kirk Macdonald, Lorne Lofsky, Kevin Turcotte and others. At that time, there was not a lot of contact between the Montreal and Toronto scenes and these events really helped us to get to know each other. This concert at the Casa Luna in Montreal featured Don Thompson on vibes (he played some piano that night as well). The band played one set of Don’s big band music and one set of Joe’s – a memorable evening!
